As a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Hughes is dedicated to providing compassionate, highly personalized, and comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of infants, children, and adolescents.

Dr. Hughes began her medical journey at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she earned both her master’s and medical degree. She went on to complete her pediatric training at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she served alongside a dedicated pediatric care team. She has been practicing pediatrics since 2022 and is board-certified in pediatrics.

As a Virginia native, returning home to care for local families is a deeply meaningful milestone for Dr. Hughes. From your baby’s very first checkup to supporting teenagers as they transition into young adulthood, she looks forward to partnering with parents to help every child stay healthy, happy, and thriving.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hughes enjoys reading, roller skating, exploring the local restaurants, and spending quality time with her family.
